Berlin during spring

We went to Berlin with our class during the end of april, to meet with photographers, go to exhibitions and enjoy the art and live of Berlin. It was great, I had a lot of fun and really liked it there. I will most definitely go back there some day!

Here follows A LOT of pictures from that trip!

We stayed at a hostel called Heart of Gold and it was really nice. We had a very big and bright room, with a huge porch and two bathrooms and each had a shower. It grew chives on the porch and I ate a lot, then they took it away haha!

Our first night in town, we tried an indian place that wasn’t too far from where we stayed. Then we went to an area where some more from our class stayed, and there we went to a bar which was really nice.

We had the midmorning to ourselves, and me Jenny and Nadim strolled around, visited some second hand stores etc.

Then we embarked on a four hour bicycle tour around town. The shot of me is taken by Joacim in my class.

Someone found it funny to put Johan’s bed Inside the bathroom, so he slept there haha! We went to an amazing exhibiton with the german artist Gerard Richter, I really enjoyed it! Joacim managed to take yet another picture of me from behind hah :P

We had a nice falafel for lunch (and cheap!) then we went to yet another exhibition at C/O Berlin with photographer Arnold Newman.

We visited Swedish Photography Gallery and saw pictures by Christer Strömholm. We had a great lunch at an italian place, and then we went to an awesome place/building called Tacheles. It was full of wonderful people and artists who did amazing stuff. I bought a necklace which I’ve used everyday since. It’s sad that they are planning on tearing the building down..

We went to a lot of second hand stores and stuff this day, and stopped for a coffee at a nice little place. Then Nadim ruined (or improved?) my selfportrait in a mirror!

This day, we went to Sammlung Boros bunker to see a private collection, and you were not allowed to take photos inside but oh my god it was amazing! Our guide (the woman in green) was really good, and the building – that used to work as a bunker during the war and then was transformed into an electro club  - was amazing and held some really really great art!

The picture of me and Jenny is taken by Nadim

My food was so very very very spicy and hot, but I think (?) it tasted good haha. The trip was unfortunately, over waay too soon. I really enjoyed the city and the people, and I had such a fun time with Nadim and Jenny – I am really glad they were on this trip with me!
