Summer 2012 | A story told with photographs [mostly, some text involved]

Spent a weekend at Linn’s place, with her boyfriend Jens being there too. Then I went up to Sundsvall in the northern parts of  Sweden, where my boyfriend was – visiting his family. We lived at his mum’s place, made art with pearls and went to a second hand store (that had A LOT of stuff) with his mum, sister and his two nieces.

We went to the local pub and had a great time, enjoying lovely food and a really nice band that played there (we even bought a CD!)

We lived in a cottage in the woods for a few days as well. We had no electricity so we used a fire in the fireplace to keep it warm, and a fire in the stove to make food – it was great! We did the dishes in a stream, picked berries and flowers and also tried really hard to photograph the two pine martens that lived in the roof – they were super cute!

We went into town and did some shopping, and ate amazing food at a lovely italian restaurant. We also went to a pub one and ate one evening, and after that we went to the cinemas and saw the new Spiderman Movie – it was awesome!

We spent a lot of time relaxing, either on the porch reading and playing some Magic The Gathering, or outdoors in the sun, relaxing, photographing and one day we rode bikes around the lake! I also did what I love to do – walked barefoot A LOT <3 I love feeling the earth under my feet!

We went to a nice party by boat, it was held by my boyfriends sister and a friend of hers. It was great food, lovely people, a nice atmosphere , a wonderful summer evening and we drank way too much wine… haha!

We also spent some time at Andreas dads place, eating a lovely dinner, cuddling with their cat, finding cute frogs and enjoying yet another lovely summer evening by the lake, fishing. We did not get much but it was very relaxing and enjoyable.

I guarded the house of Andreas’ brother for a weekend while they went on a trip and Andreas attended a LAN-party for 3 days. There was a cosy mist on the lake, I felt like working with something creative so I made two dreamcatchers that weekend (while watching discovery channel). The evening before we left the northern parts to go home to Gothenburg, we finally got to meet the super cute young fox lurking about Andreas’ brothers yard – he was less than half a meter away from eating directly from my hands!!

That’s some pictures and a recap from what I’ve done this summer. Today it’s been raining all day and I kind of long for autumn with it’s lovely apples, tea and candles in the evening, all the lovely stews we’ll make and all the cozy, knitted clothes I’ll wear – as well as the beautiful and inspiring colors that mother earth wraps nature in during fall.
