Update from the train

The sun is setting over the beautiful Swedish countryside that’s passing by outside the window. I’m on a train back home to Gothenburg. These past days in Stockholm have been great. I arrived Thursday evening and spent the night at Emma’s’ (my stylist) place. We spent the evening talking about interior photography and planning for the next day.

We worked from 9.00 – 17.30 on Friday, shooting in a beautiful house. It went really well and a beautiful cat named Tyson kept us company.

Friday evening was slow but nice. I went to my uncle and cousins place, enjoyed a nice meal and me and Michelle played some Magic The Gathering (a card game).

I went in to town around lunch time yesterday, to head over to the office/saloon of Seienstyle & Dreadstuff ( two branches of the same brand/business) where I met with owner Ann-Marie. We planned for the photoshoot we did today, as well as talked about future work/collaborations. It was great to see their new place and to meet with her!

I was tired after the work I did the day before, but I met up with my cousins and uncle after the meeting. Decided to spend some time with them and enjoy Stockholm while I was there. We took a boat back home to them (on which I relaxed with a glass of red wine) and bought some buns with us. We enjoyed a nice coffee break once home, and then me and my two cousins took a nice evening stroll before supper.

Dinner was lovely, with both a nice starter and main course as well as a glass of white. I went to bed early since I had to get up and work again today.

Ann-Marie is such a beautiful, lovely person. It was a bliss to shoot her and her shop. I am so excited and honoured to get to work with her and her business!!

Standing up photographing and carrying a lot of gear takes it’s toll though. My entire body aches. I can’t wait to get home, take a bath and go to bed now though. Tomorrow I’ll start editing everything from this weekend. It’s so worth it though, I love my job!
