E&E Glasses

So, these are my new glasses from E&E Glasses, which is a Swedish brand, from the northern parts of Sweden – made by Erik and Emilia. All their glasses have names like cities in the northern Sweden. Mine are called Umeå (I have an aunt living there!) Wood (cause they’re a matte, brown color).

I won these in a competition at the blog of the fashion blogger and model, Ebba Zingmark (whom too, is from Umeå!) and who has modeled for E&E Glasses. If you’re in to fashion, you really should check out her lookbook. She’s also very environmental, being a vegetarian + she’s started a shop with friend where they sell second hand clothes.

Anywho, I am so glad I won these – they’re amazing! I don’t need glasses, but I have always thought that it looks so darn good, and now I have my own pair to wear! My new favourite accessory? I think so!

Inspirational Paraphrase

So today in class, we showed 6-10 inspiring pictures we like. Then we got an assignment to take something from 3 of those pictures to create a new one. These are the three ones I chose:

From the left one, I decided to pick the whole “shoot-through-glass” thingy, from the one in the middle I chose the color tones and model (sort of) and from the third one (to the right) I decided to choose the fact that it’s natural/ambient light as well as the crop, so I decided to crop my model a bit below the shoulders.

Here is my final picture which I took today, with my dear Emmie as a model (thank you for participating on such a short notice!):

Nikon D7000 + Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, ambient light only.

Now, mine is a bit darker in the tones than the pic in the middle, cause well.. it was dark when I took it and I wanted to keep my style to it, and I liked this better than that light blue color. This picture is a bit different from what I usually do, probably cause we had so little time to plan it – and thus little time to hesitate and question my idea which led to me taking a series of pictures (more to come from this shoot later on) that I would never have taken otherwise. I really like this one, and the other pictures I took, as well – so in the end I’m glad we got the assignment (first I was just pissed and stressed).

Ps: looking at it now, at my blog, it feels a little bit too blue, maybe. I’m not sure. I’ll keep it like this for now. Ds.

Marna & Andreas

Here’s some pictures from the wedding of Marna and Andreas, two lovely persons, with incredible personalities and a huge love for each other! It was such a beautiful august day and the weather was completely on our side. It was a lot of fun photographing Marna and Andreas, as I knew it would be from the moment I met them. I’m so glad I got to be a part of their big day, thank you!
