A Weekend In May

weekend_00
weekend_panoramaAs I said in my previous post, Andreas came up around 13.00 on Friday. We started the day by walking through old town, to Söder where we had something to eat (pizza!). Then we strolled around in the sun, and ended up at café String – a really really nice place where we sat for quite some time. Then we strolled back through söder and took the subway home.

weekend_01Once home, we joined Birgitta out on the balcony and had some refreshments while we just relaxed – it was rather hot and Andreas was tired after getting up early and sitting on a train for a few hours, even though he had a great experience traveling with Blå Tåget.

Walking in a winter wonderland

Hi! Me and Andreas are really enjoying ourselves up here in the north. I hope you all had a great, cozy christmas with family and friends, and that you ate loads of tasty food. I also hope you’re enjoying the winter – where ever you may be.

I am so glad that I’ve come this far, that I made it through november and december without totally falling apart. It’s been so hectic, stressful and physically and mentally demanding. One of the biggest reasons that made me last and not break – is my dear, beloved Andreas. He listened when I complained and even cried about stuff, hugged me in silence and held me close. He made me laugh and take breaks from all things photo related, like lying in the couch watching way to many episodes of Bones. I could not have made without him – and I am so glad and grateful that I have him by my side in life, as a partner and as my best friend. Words cannot describe my love for him.

Having spent our second christmas together, and heading towards new years eve and a whole new year with him just makes me go all happy and giggly!

I love you, oh so much Andreas <3

Rebecka & Rickard

When I got an email from Rebecka asking me if I wanted to shoot their wedding, I got excited and happy; of course I wanted to! When I then met them for the first time, I knew I’d made the right decision, we seemed to be on the same page. They had a folder with inspirational pictures, and they had even scouted a place for the shoot – I was in heaven! I got even more excited when they asked if I wanted to be with Rebecka and her bridesmaids at the hotel in the morning, while they got ready.

Something else that fascinated me and made me smile, was that Rebecka and Rickard spent the last night apart, and did not see each other again until Rebecka walked through the doors of the church. The tension, oh my – she was so happy, yet looked very calm! I glansed at Rickard who stood in front of the church, waiting – but he too looked pretty calm and just.. peaceful and happy. I knew then, that these two are really meant to be. Something came over me where I pictures myself walking up the aisle having my loved one waiting for me, and I got goosebumps! I got myself together though, and shot the lovely ceremony.

The shoot afterwards was joyful, easy and full of laughter and waay to many kisses (almost) ;)
