My Monday

monday_01Did some laundry and drew a little during the morning

monday_02Then it was time to work, I sent some business-related emails and edited a lot of pictures for Anna.

monday_03I had a break from the screen sometime before lunch, having coffee and looking at a cookbook with photos taken by photographer Wolfgang Kleinschmidt. Then I continued to edit until 15.30, after that I headed out for a walk/workout.

I’ve just had dinned (sallad) and a glass of wine, and now I’m enjoying a cup of coffee.

A Weekend In May

weekend_00
weekend_panoramaAs I said in my previous post, Andreas came up around 13.00 on Friday. We started the day by walking through old town, to Söder where we had something to eat (pizza!). Then we strolled around in the sun, and ended up at café String – a really really nice place where we sat for quite some time. Then we strolled back through söder and took the subway home.

weekend_01Once home, we joined Birgitta out on the balcony and had some refreshments while we just relaxed – it was rather hot and Andreas was tired after getting up early and sitting on a train for a few hours, even though he had a great experience traveling with Blå Tåget.

iPhoneography: Past Few Weeks

I went away with Anna a few weeks ago, to a big house where she had a shoot, of both the home and the one who lived there.

The sun and warmth finally came and I have spent a lot of quality time out on the balcony :)

I left for Gothenburg and had a lovely evening and night with my dear Emmie who’s finally home from Australia!
We drank wine and talked until 06 in the morning. I’ve missed her so <3 Read more

A Thursday In Stockholm

So, thursday was a busy but fun day. I spent the morning with Anna in her office, editing pictures from a previous job of hers so that she can finish it up and deliver it. Then I headed out to find me some lunch.

I’d walked by a candle-making shop/café and read something about soup a few times – and it was such a grey, stormy and rainy day that I decided soup was exactly what was needed. I’m so glad I made that decision! It’s the only place in Stockholm where they’re keeping the tradition of candle-making alive, and one can go there to make your own candles, shop or grab a coffee, waffles or lunch.

Broccoli and carrot soup, it was delicious! The interior of the place where so cozy!

Alice was one of 2 dogs there, a very shy and careful one – she was scared of me at first,
but then she hopped up and sat next to me while I enjoyed my coffee and cookie!
Stockholm ljusstöperi, thank you for the lovely lunch – I’ll be back!

Then I strolled around for a bit, waiting to meet up with Elin. The weather was still pretty bad so we grabbed a coffee at Wayne’s Coffee.

Lovely Elin photographing me (which she did a lot!)

Food, internship, coffee and Nevnarien.

This week has been busy and I’ve done a lot of different things, I don’t have a lot of time or energy to use my DSLR, but I still want to take pictures and keep track of my everyday life – so I use my phone a lot, I hope you can cope with my iPhoneography! Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:

Treated myself to some lovely sushi last sunday

Anna had a photoshoot on monday, for a book in the making by Karin Holmberg

I fell in love with the whale she’s made (to keep needles in/on) and some of the lovely props we had!

I’ve spent some time together with Anna at her office, editing.

Headed to another day of internship (with my new bag, a find I made at a second hand).
The day begun with me making coffee at the office/studio upon arrival.

Instagram weeks

The past few weeks shown through my instagram.

I assisted Helene’s husband Niklas on a job, and I got to take care of Ayla a lot. I photographed coffee, we had some fun props for a shoot on my internship, and I sat in the spring sun that has started to shine upon us.

We enjoyed lovely drinks and food at a restaurant named Wood with my parents, in celebration of me turning 24. I woke up with the sun shining bright and I got the best birthday gift ever – a huge Zelda-book! Also, I saw a great movie called Secret of Kells (watch it!).

I’ve read a lot and I’m almost done with Murakamis’ 1Q84. I had a tasty cappuccino over at da Matteo, and a day at my internship  consisted of me holding bags and Ayla while we scouted for a location, and Helene photographed a lot of porcelain.

The sun continued to shine, and created lovely shadows in our home. We went to the cinemas and saw Life of Pi – I cried my eyes out. I enjoyed the Passion for Food fair, where I saw Nana and Ted from Noble House make Gyoza (which I did not get a chance to taste…). During a walk around town with Andreas, I found the Triforce on the ground – no Master Sword in sight though :( haha!

A day of internship

Here’s how a day at my internship is. Met up with Helene in her studio during the morning and we started to set up the studio, then it was photography time! We had lunch/coffee at da Matteo and then I joined her to check out a location for a bigger shoot for work that takes place next week.

All photos are taken with my phone. For more snapshots from my everyday life, be sure to follow me on Instagram @raniamaria

Magic The Gathering

A card game, and one of my biggest hobbies and interest – what I do on my sparetime, when I’m not doing anything related to photography.

Usually me and Andreas get together with Kim and Magnus, and we play for hours, while enjoying good food and beer/wine. It’s a lot of fun, both the game and us sitting together having a great time!

My life through instagram

Life is hectic right now, and unfortunately I’m almost always tired and photography, bringing my camera around etc… I have no energy for it. A sign of my tiredness: I just though my shirt was broken, until I realized it was a button hole… haha!

Anyway, I always have my phone with me, so I photograph my everyday life with it and use instagram – it’s better than nothing right?! So here’s what I’ve been up to lately:

Me and Andreas went to Magnus’ place and had some food and played some Magic The Gathering. I relaxed at home with tea (in my awesome owl cup) and magazines, then I had a photoshoot with Jasmine. I’ve also started to play WoW again (crap…!).

Summer 2012 | A story told with photographs [mostly, some text involved]

Spent a weekend at Linn’s place, with her boyfriend Jens being there too. Then I went up to Sundsvall in the northern parts of  Sweden, where my boyfriend was – visiting his family. We lived at his mum’s place, made art with pearls and went to a second hand store (that had A LOT of stuff) with his mum, sister and his two nieces.
