Morning Light | In The Kitchen

Photography is all about catching light, painting shapes, formes and colors on our cameras sensors with it. There is always some sort of light, natural or artificial – and the natural one change a lot during one day. Morning light is one of my favourite ones – it’s very beautiful and after a dark night, it makes me happy and full of new energy.

morning_lightThese images are from yesterday’s early morning. Both are shot and edited on my iPhone.

Street Photography | Gothenburg

I scanned some developed negatives the other day, and it was apparently mostly street photos from Gothenburg during the summer (I had forgotten what was on the roll of film). So, here’s a monochrome view on the city where I live, taken with my Nikon F-801 and Kodak 400 Tri-X

MUGGLA

It’s the cup in the shape of an owl. The best cup ever. I got it from Jenny and I loooveee it (I love owls)! It’s my new favourite. Cup/mug in swedish is “mugg” and owl is “uggla” so the two together becomes -> muggla :D

Emmie

Photos that date back all the way to the 14th of May, I haven’t had the time to sit down and edit them until now (thanks for getting a cold? haha).

Anyway, back then me and my dear friend and muse Emmie went in to the studio together with my other friend Martina, who’s also the Make Up Artist for these shots -> Her Facebook page.

It was the first time for Emmie in the studio and it required some warming up but then it went just fine!

Wedding: Rebecka and Rickard

When I got an email from Rebecka asking me if I wanted to shoot their wedding, I got excited and happy; of course I wanted to! When I then met them for the first time, I knew I’d made the right

decision, we seemed to be on the same page. They had a folder with inspirational pictures, and they had even scouted a place for the shoot – I was in heaven! I got even more excited when they asked if I wanted to be with Rebecka and her bridesmaids at the hotel in the morning, while they got ready.

Something else that fascinated me and made me smile, was that Rebecka and Rickard spent the last night apart, and did not see each other again until Rebecka walked through the doors of the church. The tension, oh my – she was so happy, yet looked very calm! I glansed at Rickard who stood in front of the church, waiting – but he too looked pretty calm and just.. peaceful and happy. I knew then, that these two are really meant to be. Something came over me where I pictures myself walking up the aisle having my loved one waiting for me, and I got goosebumps! I got myself together though, and shot the lovely ceremony.

The shoot afterwards was joyful, easy and full of laughter and waay to many kisses (almost) ;)

My Fear: Video

We got an assignment in school, to make a movie in 2 minutes over a day about our fear. One of my fears is one I think many have.

I fear emptiness and also death, not that I’ll die, but that I’ll loose my near and dear ones. I was at my first funeral recently, and a friends grandma just passed away…. I see how my own grandma is growing weaker and I fear the worst.

To be left alone without those I love around me, it’s one of my biggest fears.

The song is Angel Died by Sergey Kovchik. Shot with a Nikon D7000, edited in Adobe Premiere.

JO! Models

So, you’ve seen the behind the scenes video here, for our shoot with a model named Ida, from JO! Models (model agency here in Gothenburg), a fashionshoot which was part of a school project/fashion workshop. Photographer Per Zennström acted as our teacher/creative director, and the assignment was to make a campaign now that the model agency is re-launching themselves with a new name, site and so on. We were to make a movie (the BTS video in my group’s case), a stillpicture/collage and a stop motion/gif. Stylist was Jennie Bramer, who’s also the owner of JO! Models. Makeup and hair was done by Jeanette Rokas from Rokas Prestige.

My group consisted of Anna-Karin Löfgren, Ellika Henrikson, Evelina HultqvistFanny Jigman, Simon Haglund and of course Rania Rönntoft (me) :)

Work in progress – daMatteo

I’ve only had time to do some photographing at daMatteo twice so far, there’s so much to do in school all the time. But I thought I’d show you a little preview of a few shots for now. I have not yet decided if it should all be in black & white or color, but for now you’ll get to see them monochrome.
