I got an email from Marna and Andreas, where they asked some questions about how I work and so on, and since they (apparently) liked my answers, we decided to meet. This we did at a cosy café in town, while the rain was pouring down outside.
I knew very fast that I really really wanted to shoot this couple, I would actually be sad if I didn’t! They where very social and happy, and did not seem like the kind to be timid in front of a camera. I showed some inspirational pictures, ideas of what once could do, as well as mentioned that sometimes couple use some prop, if they have somethings that fits their personality and what they like to do on their spare time. My god, you should’ve heard the two of them!
“We could bring your old bike?! Or a trumpet! Or maybe a sail, or a life preserver! Maybe our big rug sacks that we use when we go walking?” On and on they went, and I felt so happy. They really wanted to take some pictures other than the classical ones, and had lot’s of ideas. After that, we met one more time at the location to test shoot a little, find good spots as well as some plan B locations if it would rain – which luckily, it didn’t and the shoot and the whole day was just.. awsome!
They seemed so happy and in love, focused completely on each other and forgot about me. At one point Andreas said “I’m worried we’re doing a bad job, she takes so many pictures” but that I did out of joy, cause they were beautiful, both in the way they looked and on the inside, and their love as well.
